PURPOSE:To prevent the magnetic bar-code from being forged and falsified by forming the magnetic bar-code by the magnetic bar in which a pattern signal is written, and providing a data detecting part, a pattern analyzing part, and a comparing part of a detecting device. CONSTITUTION:Whether a pattern signal 52 itself is correct or not is confirmed by a pulse interval discriminating part 33 and a sequence discriminating part 34, whether the pattern signal 52 shows '1' or '0' or not is inspected by a frequency discriminating part 35, and also, coincidence or discrepancy with width data is inspected by a comparing part 4. In such a way, even if a magnetic bar-code 5 is forged and falsified by adding and superscribing a magnetic bar 51 by the means such as magnetic printing, it is discriminated by the pulse interval discriminating part 33 and the sequence discriminating part 34, and also, even if forgery, etc., are executed by cutting away and scraping the magnetic bar 51, it is discriminated by the comparing part 4. |
