PURPOSE:To enhance charging stability and storage stability by incorporating polyester specified in glass transition point and softening point and the content of -SO3M groups of 10-200mg equivalent/kg. CONSTITUTION:The polyester resin to be used has a glass transition point of >=40 deg.C and a softening point of 80-150 deg.C and a -SO3 content of 10-200 mg equivalent/kg. The polyester is made, preferably, mainly from dicarboxylic acid and glycol, and it is preferred to combine the -SO3M groups with the molecular chain of the polyester, especially, to copolymerize them with the polyester, thus permitting the obtained eletrophotographic toner not to change and be superior in charging characteristics and storage stability even under high humidity and high temperature. |
