PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation of the voltage in a pair of frequency converting elements, which are driven complementarily, and to reduce the odd-degree distortion, by holding outut terminals of these elements in a constant potential in respect to a balanced frequency converter. CONSTITUTION:Two signals having phases opposite to each other are inputted to bases of transistor(TR) Q1 and Q2 through a transformer T1, and frequency- converted signals are outputted from collectors of TRs Q1and Q2 through a transformer T2. Collectors of TRs Q1 and Q2 are connected to the emitter of a TRQ3. Since the base of the TRQ3 is biased by a voltage obtained by dividing a power source voltage +B by resistances R2 and R3, the potential of the emitter of the TRQ3 is held constant. Consequently, since the fluctuation of the voltge between collectors and bases of TRs Q1 and Q2 is reduced, the distortion due to unbalance of collector capacities is reduced. |
