PURPOSE: To facilitate assembling and disassembling by allowing a U-shaped plate used for holding a pump plunger in a condition that it abuts to a tappet insert provided for a guide sleeve to be introduced through an opening provided for the peripheral wall of the guide sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A guide tube 17 is arranged in a pump casing 6 concentically to a pump plunger 7, a drive tappet 8 is axially slidably guided through a guide sleeve 18 to this guide tube 17. A flange 19 is formed at an end projecting from the guide tube 17, of the guide sleeve 18, and a return spring 10 is between this flange 19 and a flange 20 provided for the guide tube 17. The pump plunger 7 is held in a condition that is abuts to a tappet insert 26 provided for the guide sleeve 18 using a U-shaped plate 25 arranged on a load surface 24a of an inner collar 24 of the guide sleeve 18, and this U-shaped plate 25 can be introduced through an opening 32 provided for the peripheral wall of the guide sleeve 18. |
