A coating for ozone conversion or destruction and a catalyst consisting of Cu20 and/or CuO mixed with a gas-permeable binder are claimed. USE/ADVANTAGE - The catalytic coating is useful on walls, buildings, fences, safety barriers, vehicle undersides and floor coverings and within road surface layers. It converts ozone to oxygen and thus prevent smog formation.
