Reclaiming scrap rubber car door seals with steel inserts - using extruder at minus 80 degrees Celsius followed by magnetic sepn.
摘要

The material contained in scrap rubber car door seals which have a steel insert is reclaimed by first cutting the seals into 5-10 cm lengths. The pieces are cooled to minus 80 deg.C. and fed to a screw extruder whose clearances are greater than the thickness of the metal insert. The rubber and synthetic parts are removed from the steel and the ground mixt. is then sorted on a magnetic separator. Pref. the screw extruder has two screws running in opposite directions with a clearance at least 30% greater than the size of the steel inserts. Opt. the resultant mixt. of synthetic materials can be sieved and ground in a rotary mill. It can be hot pressed with a filler to give new prods.. USE/ADVANTAGE - The invention allows the material from scrap door seals to be recycled efficiently.
