A sample-preparation system for iron and steel samples comprises a modular unit consisting of a grinding machine (1) with a punch device (2) and/or a cutting-off machine (3) and transport devices (7 to 12) for introducing, transferring and removing samples. The punching device (2) with integrated robot (12), sand-blasting unit (26), inductive heating station (27), sample crusher (25) and several punches (28, 29, 30) for tab samples and the cutting-off machine (3) with cutting-off station consisting of a rotating chuck (31) and adjustable cutting-off grinding disk (32) for cylindrical and conical samples can be coupled to the central module formed by the grinding machine and comprising a coarse and fine grinding device (18, 20), a cooling device (19) and a clamping device (14) for the samples. The grinding machine (1) has a dust-removal connection (13) for central dust removal. The clamping device (14) is of block design and has two jaws which can be moved antagonistically in two stages. |
