A truck (11) has a remotely controlled drive motor operating a propulsion wheel (13) cooperating with horizontal and parallel rails (10). Insulatingly mounted current rails (11) are attached to the support/drive rails, and cooperate with pick-up shoes (40) on the truck. The current rails (39,39') are provided on either side of the truck, on focing sides of the drive rails (10). The pick-up shoes are pref. in immediate proximity to a guide element (16) on the truck side, there being at least one shoe to each side of the truck. ADVANTAGE - Simplified structive, with better guiding by passive rails.
