The method is for safeguarding trees, esp. large old trees, against leaning or falling. It involves driving in one or more ground anchors (12, 18), overlying at least one large root. The ground anchors are driven at least ca. 3 m deep into the ground, can be of various types and may have an annular top part (16). They act as additional artificial roots. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides an effective method of safeguarding trees from leaning or collapsing.
