The large cable crane has the load trolley supported from a main cable and with integral grab operated by integral servo motors. The motors are driven from a rechargeable battery (18) charged by generators (15,16) driven by the support pulleys (13,14) of the trolley. The servo motors for the grab are operated by remote control via a receiver (21) on the trolley. No supply lines are required linked to the trolley. When not in use the trolley is pulled against one support tower to couple to a charging system for the battery. ADVANTAGE - No supply lines required for trolley, simple power supply, suitable for long lengths of cable crane.
