Prodn. of stable aq. solns. of anionic dyestuffs (I), pref. reactive dyestuff (IA) is by pressure permeation of solns. or suspensions of crude (I). Soln./suspension is treated with boric acid (IIA) or its salts (IIB) before or during pressure permeation, which involves desalination and opt. concn. (II) is pref. added before or during desalination. (IIB) are pref. alkali(ne earth) and/or ammonium salts and/or trialkylammonium salts with a cation of H-N+(R1)K(R2)L(R3)M formula (III), where R1= 1-4C alkyl; R2= -(CH2-CH2-O)nH; R3= (CHMe-CH2-O)nH or -(CH2-CHME-O)nH; K= 0-2; L and M= 0-3; K+L+M=3; n= 1-4. (II) is added in a concn. of 0.01-10 wt.%. (I) are used in the form of their alkali salts, pt. being Li salts. (I) pref. are fluorotriazine or fluorochloro-pyrimidine dyestuffs. Stable aq. solns. pref. contain 10-30% (I).
