The vacuum collector is for a solar energy recovery system. It has an absorber (16) for the conversion of sun rays into heat which is subsequently carried by a liq. heating medium out of the collector housing (10). The housing (10) on the side (12) facing the sun is flat or slightly curved, less so than the opposite side (14), which can be half round, semi elliptical or half oval. USE/ADVANTAGE - Snow is easily removed and it is easily and cheaply produced.
