PURPOSE:To prevent dispersion of powder produced in a bearing or the like from the inside of a rotor and deterioration of the withstand voltage characteristic of a rotary anode X-ray tube, by attaching a cylindrical member to the end of a fixed portion so as to cover the opened surface of the bearing to the utmost. CONSTITUTION:A rotary anode X-ray tube includes a rotary spindle 3 supported by a fixed portion 5, interposing a bearing 4, and a rotor 2 surrounding their outside as an umbrella and producing turning effort. A fixed portion cover 6 attached to the fixed portion 5 and havint its inner surface opposed to the outer surface of the rotary spindle 3 with a narrow clearance is arranged in the inside space of the shoulder of the umbrella-shaped rotor 2 so as to cover the opened surface of the bearing 4. |
