CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic vibration is applied to the surface of the separation membrane 11 of the membrane separator 9 arranged so as to be immersed in a nitration tank 8. As a result, the adherend such as a gel layer bonded to the surface of the membrane can be washed and removed by the vibration of the surface of the membrane and the interference of the vibrated surface of the membrane with raw water. Therefore, the surface of the membrane can be certainly washed without exerting any effect on sludge floc at the time of the washing of the surface of the membrane and bringing about the lowering of biological treatment capacity due to the destruction of sludge floc.
