PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly prepare a multicolor clothing label by transferring a thermal transfer layer to a material to be transferred through a thermal head to form the first pattern and subsequently recording the second pattern using other thermal transfer recording medium having a hue different from that of the first pattern. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of carbon black, nylon 12 and methanol is dispersed by a ball mill to prepare a first ink layer forming solution and a mixture consisting of lake red C, nylon 12 and methanol is dispersed by a ball mill to prepare a second ink layer forming solution. These first and second ink layer forming solutions are successively printed on a polyester film by gravure printing to form the first and second ink layers to obtain a thermal transfer recording medium. Continuously, printing is applied to a nylon processed fabric using a thermal transfer printer to form a black pattern and the alignment of the thermal transfer recording medium is subsequently affected so as to form a red pattern with this mark thus forming the red pattern. |
