PURPOSE:To perform the title treatment without causing the strength drop-off for the cloth, through such processes that a cellulosic fiber cloth is put to sulfuric acid treatment into an Organdy finished product, passed through plural washing tanks for washing off the cellulose degradation products, and then washed with a urea-contg. hot aqueous solution of a specified pH in a rear washing tank. CONSTITUTION:A cellulosic fiber cloth 1 is fed into a sulfuric acid treatment tank 2 where the cloth is impregnated with an aqueous sulfuric acid solution, and it passed through a set of timing rolls 3 for ca.1min timing, further passed through plural washing tanks 4 for washing off the cellulose degradation products formed to carry out a primary washing followed by washing the resultant cloth with a urea-contg. hot aqueous solution of a pH1-2 in a hot water washing tank 5 constituting a rear washing tank. Thence, the resulting cloth is passed through a cold water washing tank 6, an alkali neutralization tank 7, and a water washing tank 8, successively in this order, thus obtaining an Organdy finished product through the sulfuric acid treatment of the cellulosic fiber cloth. |
