In a method of producing machine elements from steel with at least a surface carbon content of 0.3 to 1.1%. blanks are heated to austenitising temperature austenitised, quenched to produce martensitisation, heated from room temperature to a tempering temperature of 250 DEG -700 DEG C cooled to room temperature in order to achieve a hardness of 45 to 65 HRC, and we finished to produce machine elements. So that the tempering or quenching treatment can be carried out continuously and in a relatively short time using a continuous process. each blank is steadily heated for a relative heating-up time (t/d) of 50 to 210 from room temperature to a tempering temperature of 250 to 700 DEG C and, directly this tempering temperature is reached, is cooled to room temperature, t representing the heating-up time in seconds and d the wall thickness of the blank in mm.
|
