<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of paint sludge separation and collection by locating a discharge opening of a take-away passage for the mixture collected in a sludge collecting tank above the mixture storage area thereof. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a separation tank 12 for floating and separating paint content in a stored liq. W as paint sludge S, a sludge collecting tank 14 for receiving the floating paint sludge S from the separation tank 12 together with a part of the stored liq. W and a sludge collecting device 21 for receiving the mixture of the sludge S and the liq. W from the sludge collecting tank 14 through a take-away passage 19 and for separating the sludge S from such mixture for collection. There are also provided a liq. discharge passage 22 for draining out the stored liq. W therethrough from the bottom side of the sludge collecting tank 14 and a discharge opening 19a of the take-away passage 19 in the sludge collecting tank 14 above the mixture storage area thereof. In this manner the mixture contg. a sludge of higher concn. can be sent through the take-away passage 19 into the next sludge collecting device.</p> |
