<p>PURPOSE:To attain the application of the power source of a data processor from a remote place by providing this power supply controller with a power application requirement monitoring device for starting a main power supply for a data processor and an auxiliary power source for always supplying an operation voltage to the monitoring device. CONSTITUTION:The data processor 12 is connected to a local area network (LAN) cable 2 through an LAN interface 11. The interface is connected also to the power application requirement monitoring device 13, which monitors a power application requirement sent through the cable 2. At the time of detecting the power application requirement, the main power source 14 is activated with the device 13 to allow the data processor 12 to be operable. Since it is necessary to always drive the device 13 itself, the operation voltage is supplied from the auxiliary power source 15 for supplying 100V commercial power to the device 13.</p> |
