<p>PURPOSE:To perform locking and unlocking of upper and lower gate panels through one action by containing the main part of a lock device for a gate panel, formed of a press plate making contact with the upper and lower gate panels, in a square longitudinal column according to the rotation position of an operation handle. CONSTITUTION:A lock device 11 for a side gate panel is mounted in the vicinity of the mating surfaces of upper and lower gate panels 3 and 4 of the side gate panel and in a square longitudinal column 2 erected on the corner of a cargo box 1 of a motor-truck. The longitudinal column 2 is provided with two shafts 12 and 13 rotated in linkage with each other by means of a coupling member 14, and the end parts on the one side of the shafts 12 and 13 are protruded in an inwardly dented recessed part 5A of a cover plate 5 with which an opening formed in the outer side of the longitudinal column 2 is covered. A handle 15 is coupled to the end part of the shaft 13 by means of a pin 13B, and the handle 15 is taken out from the recessed part 15A. Through rotation of the handle around the shaft 13, press plates 19 and 20 mounted on the inner end side of the shafts 12 and 13, respectively, are rotated, and engaged with the upper and lower gate panels 3 and 4 to lock the gates panels in a closed state.</p> |
