PURPOSE: To achieve an attractive outer shape for improving beauty and to reduce costs by forming the front wall part of a cell when extending a Roman shade in a loop that is drooped toward the joint part with a lower, adjacent cell and is bent smoothly. CONSTITUTION: When a Roman shade is extended, a cell 2 is formed by a flexible, tubular strip 6 consisting of a top part, a rear wall part 9 with a fold 13, and a front wall part 11 for forming a smooth sculptured surface with a bottom part 10 and a permanent or temporary fold 16. Then, a shade assembly body is created, where a rear end part 7 and a front end part 12 of the top part are glued to an adjacent cell 2 (or an upper rail 4) directly above via beads 8 and a number of cells 2 are joined in a single row and nearly in parallel. Also, a cord 2 is operated for uniformly shrinking the cells 2 with a fold 13 of each of the cells 2 as a support, and further the drooping of the front wall part 11 is extended over the lower, adjacent cell 2. |
