PURPOSE:To perform further denser operation of a train by predicting a time, in which the limit speed of a subsequent train is changed to an upper grade, from the advancing state of a preceding train and deciding the limit speed pattern of the subsequent train so as to coincide with the time. CONSTITUTION:In a train control device to control operation of a train so as to allow running of only a single train in the one block section of a truck divided into a plurality of sections, a computing part 10 in an operation managing device 8 on the ground side computes a real time and an optimum speed from the length of a train, lower limit speed information, and lock section length information from a memory 11, and a train detecting signal from a train detecting device 6. The computing result is transmitted to a device on a train from an information transmitting device 9. From the advancing state of a preceding train, the limit speed of a subsequent train is determined, and a time in which the limit speed is changed to an upper grade is predicted. During running of the subsequent train to a specified spot, operation of the subsequent train is controlled based on a limit speed pattern according to which the arrival time of the subsequent train almost coincides with a predicting time. |
