PURPOSE:To easily separate a specific substance with high purity as a solution from substances comprised of a plurality components including solid bodies by gelling the substances, bringing them into contact with water or an organic solvent, to carry out extraction treatment, and removing th gel after the extraction. CONSTITUTION:In substance separation method, a substance being in liquid state, oily state, or sludge-like state and comprised of a plurality of components including solid bodies is at first gelled to give a gel. The gel is brought into contact with water, an organic solvent, or a mixture solvent of water and an organic solvent to carry out extraction treatment and obtain a solution containing at least one kind substance composing said substance. Then, gel is removed after the extraction and at least one kind substance composing said substance is separated as a solution. Contact of the gel and the solvent is carried out by stirring, shaking, counter-current flowing, etc., the gel and the solvent. |
