PURPOSE:To execute printing even when the size of paper is different from that of the paper arranged to a paper feed part by applying printing to paper having a fixed size when said paper is present in the paper feed part of a printer and applying printing to paper having a large size when the paper having the fixed size is absent but the paper having the large size is present. CONSTITUTION:A paper size comparing means compares the size of paper set when a document editing form is set with the size of the paper received in a paper feed cassette 250 on the basis of the signal from a paper size detection sensor 253 and, when both papers have the same size, printing processing is executed as it is. When there are papers of the same standard system having a large size, printing region converting processing is performed and a printing region is moved to the left by a printing region converting means to perform printing and, after printing, the paper is cut into the original size by a cutter. When the paper size comparing means judges that there is a paper having a size smaller than the size set when the document editing form is set, contraction printing is applied to the selected paper by a printing indication means. |
