PRODUCTION OF CARBON BLACK AND REACTION FURNACE

PURPOSE:To readily obtain soft-based carbon black by feeding a raw material to a horizontal cylindrical type reactor and supplying a fixed amount of air from an air pipe equipped so as to cover a raw material feed pipe attached to a wall of upper stream end of the reactor. CONSTITUTION:A raw material is sprayed from a raw material feed pipe 3 at a wall of upper stream end of horizontal cylindrical type in the direction of shaft line. Further, on the other hand, a combustion gas burnt by a burner is fed to the reactor and 25-50vol.% air to be fed to the reactor is supplied from an air pipe 4 equipped so as to cover the raw material feed pipe 3 attached to the wall of upper stream end of the reactor to give carbon black having sufficiently developed aggregate.
