METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POST PAGE ALIGNMENT

PURPOSE: To enhance productivity by making the calculated variable number of copies become the function of the capacity of a plural-surface tray sheet (previously set constant) divided by the number of plural-surface document sheets and the whole quantity of a selected copying sheet. CONSTITUTION: A posterior page arranging copying is executed by the circulation of the reduced frequency of the plural-surface document in a recirculating document handler(RDH) 20. Then, a page arranging operation is executed so as to obtain a copy set whose pages are already arranged in a bin where the plural-surface copy sheet is selected by utilizing a multi-stage bin system sorter connected to a copying machine 10. The calculated variable number of identical continuous first-surface copies are respectively formed every one circulation from the plural-surface document sheet by the RDH 20 so that the calculated variable number of copies becomes the function of the capacity of the plural- surface tray sheet(previously set constant) divided by the number of plural- surface document sheets and the whole quantity of the selected copying sheet. Thus, the circulating frequency of the document is suppressed to the minimum and the productivity is enhanced.
