PURPOSE:To economically and efficiently obtain quick-response automatic operating function, by starting the operation of an air cleaner in an economical level by means of the output of an ultraviolet ray sensor while regarding quick-response properties as important and performing the operation thereof in an level according to the degree of air contamination by means of the output of a gas sensor. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensor 26 detecting the degree of air contamination in a room, an ultraviolet ray sensor 27 detecting the start of smoking, and a controlling circuit 30 which performs the automatic operation of an apparatus 32 having plural preset air quantities, based on the output of these sensors are provided. The operation of an air cleaner is performed by selecting the air quantity at a time of automatic operation in accordance with the output level of the gas sensor 26 by means of the output thereof, and is performed under definite preset conditions without relation to the output level of the ultraviolet ray sensor 27 by means of the output thereof. In other words, the operation is started in an economical level by means of the output of the ultraviolet ray sensor while regarding the quick-response properties as important, and is performed in a level according to the degree of air contamination by means of the output of the gas sensor, thereby quick-response automatic operating function can be economically and efficiently obtained. |
