PURPOSE: To provide a starting electronic circuit capable of being used in combination with the optional impedance of a permanent capacitor and a starting capacitor or a starting winding by constituting a starting circuit comprising a triac and a timer circuit. CONSTITUTION: A single-phase induction motor M has a main coil B1 and a starting coil B2 . A permanent capacitor Cp and a starting circuit Dp are connected to a starting coil B2 . The starting circuit DP is constituted of a trigger circuit and a timer circuit TP which comprise a triac S, transistors(Tr) T1 , T2 and the like. The timer circuit TP is constituted of capacitors C3 , C2 , Trs T3 , T4 and the like. After the introduction of an electric power source, the triac S is triggered at the starting of the respective half cycles of a current. The conduction period for the time of the triac S during its starting period is limited by the timer TP. Namely, after a predetermined period of time, the timer Tp saturates Trs T1 , T2 , thereby preventing the triac S from being tripped.
