PACKAGING MATERIAL AND METHOD

PURPOSE:To permit a protective packaging of a metal plate by covering the same with a packaging sheet without causing wrinkles thereon or leaving any space therebetween by attaching a heat-shrinkable film to at least each end of the packaging sheet. CONSTITUTION:A heat-shrinkable film 3 is attached to each end of a metal plate packaging paper 2 by heat sealing or adhesive bonding and formed into a cylindrical or bag-like shape and a metal plate 1 is then inserted into the packaging paper. The heat-shrinkable film 3 is heated and the metal plate packaging paper 2 is stretched tight to complete the packaging. As an alternative, the metal plate packaging paper 2 and the heat-shrinkable film 3 may be bonded together in the form of a cylinder or three or all side seal after covering the metal plate 1 with the packaging paper 2.
