PURPOSE:To enable to confirm a function and an operation from a stage to ponder over a designing plan while making a sketch by providing a function designating means which selects a part or the whole of the function of a picture designated by a designating means from among the functions prepared before hand and designates it. CONSTITUTION:A computer 100 is provided with a display device 200, a key board 300, a table 400, a stylus pen 410, and an external storage device 500, and a designer makes the sketch of the designing plan by using a handwritten stroke inputting means 410. Next, the desired part or the whole of a sketched picture is designated by the designating means, and by designating the function of the designated place by using the function designating means, the function as an interactive drawing is added to the optional part of the handwritten sketch picture. Thus, the designing plan can be operated actually as the interac tive drawing, and not only appearance design but also the quality of function design, i.e. operation convenience can be evaluated from the initial stage of design.
