METHOD FOR PREPARING SEA SALT

The method is applied in sea-salt works for extraction of salt for food purposes. It intensifies the evaporation process without changing the construction of the evaporating facilities. The method: to the sea water that is to be subject to evaporation, 0.1-1 g/l of magnesium-ammonium phosphate is added, which is derived from sea lye in advance through processing with phosphoric acid and ammonium, after which the sea water evaporates and the sodium chloride crystallises in open-air basins.
