A Fe-Cr-Ni steel is composed of 0.3-0.5 wt.% C, 20-30 wt.% Cr, 0.3-1.0 wt.% Mn, 15-25 wt.% Ni, 2.0-4.0 wt.% Si, 0.1-1.0 wt.% Ti, 0.1-1.0 wt.% Nb, 0.1-1.0 wt.% V, 0.005-0.003 wt.% B, residual Fe and impurities. The seamless steel pipe is produced by hot- working the steel at 1100-1200 deg.C, leaving it alone at 1200- 1300 deg.C for 10-100 min, and rapidily cooling it. The steel pipe having a high temp. strength is used as a reacting pipe of heating- and reacting- furnaces.
