<p>PURPOSE:To omit a header provided on a mark, to enter a lot of marks in one mark sheet, and to read a mark exactly, by providing a means for detecting an inclinatin of an input original, and a means for correcting an inclination of a picture in the horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:A mark on a mark sheet 411 is read as a picture by a sensor 412, an inclination of this read picture is detected by an inclined direction detecting circuit 413, and is stored in an inclined picture buffer memory 416 or 417. Also, a degree of inclination is measured by an inclination degree detecting circuit 414, its degree of inclination is added to a block dividing circuit 415, a read scanning line is divided by the degree of inclination indicated by the number of scanning lines, and how many picture elements have been used for constituting one block is calculated. Subsequently, contents of the memories 416 and 417 are read out to the corrected picture buffer memory 420 or 421 under the control of a read-out circuit 419 or read-in circuit 418, a picture which has corrected an inclination of a picture in the horizontal direction by the memory 420 or 421 is read out by a read-in circuit 422 or read-out circuit 423, in a decoding part 424, and a mark which has been read exactly is outputted from the circuit 424.</p> |
