PURPOSE:To manufacture highly reliable temperature measuring body with multiple measuring points by coaxially welding dummy wire to the tip of a sheath type thermocouple with a connecting metal piece, inserting several pieces of the wire into a metal pipe together with an inorganic insulating material and the like, and performing diameter reducing machining. CONSTITUTION:The dummy wire is coaxially welded to the tip of an external metal pipe which is a temperature measuring contact point part of the sheath type thermocouple via the connecting metal piece. The several pieces of said wire are inserted into the desired number of double hole block groups of the inorganic insulating material which are aligned in series, with the temperature measuring points being separated by a desired interval. Then, they are enclosed in the metallic protecting pipe together, and extraction and elongation are performed. Then the diameter is reduced, and the sealing cover processing is performed. For example, the sheath type thermocouple 2 having temperature measuring blank wire 8 and the temperature measuring contact points 3 is connected to the dummy metal wire 10 via a connecting metal piece 9. Desired pieces of internal raw wire 11 obtained in this way are inserted into the double hole insulating block 12, and enclosed in the metal protecting pipe 1. Then the diameter is reduced. In this method, the temperature measuring body with the multiple measuring points characterized by uniform heat transmitting condition along the entire length and high reliability can be manufactured. |
