The fitment for holding one end of a slat in a slatted frame includes at least one cap pin (62, 64) supported by the base plate and designed to take a fastening section of a cap element pushed over the slat end. The cap pins (62, 64) are supported by a substantially rigid adjustment plate (32). The opposing contact faces of the base plate (18) and adjustment plate (32) are provided with several complementary support ribs (26, 28; 30, 34). At least part of the ribs engage in each other in the different relative positions of the base plate and adjustment plate, the support ribs can have a trapezoidal cross-section wherein the corners of the cross-sectional faces are preferably rounded.
