摘要 PURPOSE:To easily form a sharp image of high sensitivity and to make many- time use possible by providing an ink layer carrying a heat-diffusible dye to a microporous material. CONSTITUTION:An ink layer carrying a heat-diffusible dye is provided to a microporous material. Microscopically speaking, the microporous material has such a structure that pores communicate each other and have spaces at least partially communicate with the open air and it is desirable that the (surface area)/(projection area) ratio of the pores is usually 3 or more, pref., 10 or more. When heat is applied to the ink layer, the heat-diffusible dye is sublimed or evaporated to move through the pores to reach an image receiving layer. Since this movement of the heat-diffusible dye is carried out in the spaces within the pores, there is no moving resistance and thermal response becomes well and the high sensitivity ink layer is formed. Since the pores from which the dye is removed are replenished with the other heat-diffusible dye sublimed or evaporated by the application of heat, many-time printing becomes possible.
