<p>PURPOSE: To easily produce a color filter at a low cost without requiring a special means to ensure dimensional stability by forming a photosensitive layer on a transparent substrate, exposing it through a pattern corresponding to the shape of a color filter element, carrying out coloring with a colored toner and heat-treating the resultant colored layer. CONSTITUTION: A negative working photosensitive layer contg. a 1, 4- dihydropyridine is formed on a transparent substrate by spin coating and it is exposed through a proper mask with a pattern corresponding to the shape of a desired color filter element. Coloring is then carried out with a corresponding colored toner and the resultant colored layer is heat-treated at <=240 deg.C for 10-60min. The objective color filter less liable to scatter light and having high stability to mechanical and chemical stresses is easily produced using the negative working dyeable photosensitive layer.</p> |
