PURPOSE:To readily obtain a high-quality fragrance-containing carbonated beverage and said beverage packed in a pressure container by bringing a natural fragrance-containing material into contact with a liquefied carbon dioxide for extraction of fragrance components, obtaining a fragrance-containing carbonated ice through specified processes and using the resultant fragrance-containing carbonated ice. CONSTITUTION:In the first process, natural fragrance components such as esters are readily extracted and a natural fragrance componentcontaining liquefied carbon dioxide (fragrance- containing liquefied carbon dioxide) is obtained by bringing a natural fragrance-containing material such as a flower of a fruit or a leaf of a herb into contact with liquefied carbon dioxide in a pressure container. In the second process, the resultant fragrance-containing liquefied carbon dioxide is then dissolved and absorbed in pure water. In the third process, the obtained carbonated water is rapidly frozen by cooling to obtain a fragrance-containing carbonated ice. In the fourth process, the objective carbonated beverage excellent in flavor can be obtained readily by forming the resultant fragrance-containing ice into a specified small massive shape and subsequently mixing the resultant small massive fragrance-containing carbonated ice in a specified volume of water or sugar solution. The objective fragrance- containing carbonated beverage packed in a pressure container can be obtained by accommodating a specified amount of the above-mentioned fragrance-containing carbonated ice together with a specified amount of sugar solution in a pressure can, a pressure bottle, etc., and carrying out tight sealing. |
