The invention relates to a device making it possible to check that products needing to be kept at a temperature less than 0 DEG C have not undergone an instantaneous rise in temperature beyond a fixed threshold, between the time when they are refrigerated and the time of their use. The device consists of a leaktight transparent plastic bag containing a moisture-detection colour-indicating (humidity colorimetric detector) product and a glass phial filled with a liquid having antifreeze properties or a mixture of water and antifreeze liquid. It is the dosing of the water/antifreeze mixture which makes it possible to determine the temperature at which the indicator is to change colour. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for checking the continuity of the cold chain for products such as frozen foodstuffs or certain pharmaceutical specialities.
