<p>The invention relates to a device making it possible to orientate the two sails of a wind machine automatically depending on the direction of the wind in order to pick up the minimum of power. It consists of a central pinion P1, which is fixed for a given wind direction, of two pinions P2 secured to the sails, and of a transmission using gearing or chains with a reduction ratio of 1/2. The pinion P1 may be entrained by a wind vane (keel) if the direction of the wind changes and orientates the sails optimally.
