PURPOSE: To mold a solidified body, wherein a resin is perfectly infiltrated into a fabric blank, having a normal dimension by cutting the fabric blank into a predetermined dimension not protruding from the bottom part of a female mold member to place the cut blank on the bottom of the female mold member to close a female mold and subsequently allowing both molds to cooperate to compress the fabric blank. CONSTITUTION: A fabric blank is cut into a predetermined dimension not protruding from the bottom part of a female mold member. Both mold members are preheated and the cut and solidified dry fabric blank 9 having depthαof a molding part 2 is arranged on the bottom part 3 of the female mold member 1. The protruding part 5 of a male mold member 5 is allowed to coincide with the interior of the cavity and a female mold is closed until the mold becomes airtight to suction pressure bringing about compression reducing the thickness thereof to the final thicknessδof the fabric after molding fromβwithout holding the fabric 9 until the mating surfaces of both molds are united. A necessary sufficient amt. of resin is injected and the molds are heated and a part is cured in the molds in order to increase mechanical strength. |
