The present invention relates to a device for transferring molten metal that comprises an MHD (magneto- hydrodynamic) centrifugal transporting pump 1, which is fitted inside a molten metal bath 2 and includes a metal casing 3 equipped with a cover 4, whose interior is connected to one end of a metal shaft 6 arranged inside a solenoid 7, whilst a working chamber 8 is installed between the other end of the metal shaft 6 and a bottom 5 of the metal housing, in such a way that it makes these dielectrically insulated. The metal housing 3 with its cover 4 and its bottom 5, as well as the metal shaft 6, the solenoid 7 and the working chamber 8 form a closed magnetic circuit, by which the magnetic field produced between the working chamber 8 forms a maximum magnetic induction that can be obtained with the action of a pre- established direct current that passes through the solenoid 7. The working chamber 8 communicates with the molten metal bath 2 and is hermetically connected to the tube for discharging the molten metal. The present invention is applicable, for example, in the metallurgical industry.
