PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency in driving a car by furnishing a speed sensing device to sense a constant speed for changing over from shifting to directly coupling operation or vice versa on the basis of input of speed information, and therewith performing the changing-over automatically. CONSTITUTION:Speed information from a speed power-generator 1 is taken into a speed sensing device 2. The speed with good efficiency at speed/direct couiple changeover point is previously set in this speed sensing device 2. The speed with good efficiency is obtained by reading the speed value for the propulsive shaft revolving speed, at a point where efficiency is good, from the characteristic curve of the engine concerned, and the read value is used as the changeover speed from shifting to directly coupling operation and vice versa. When the speed becomes the mentioned set value, a liquid transmission 3 can implement the changing-over. Because the changeover point can be made the same at all times as described above the efficiency in driving the car is enhanced. A manual operation switch 7 is provided as spare for eventual trouble in the speed power-generator 1. |
