PURPOSE:To obtain a novel Tl-contg. oxide superconductor by using Tl, Sr, Ca, Cu and O as constituent elements. CONSTITUTION:This oxide superconductor is composed essentially of Tl, Sr, Ca, Cu and O as constituent elements and is preferably represented by a general formula TlSr2Can-1CunOy (where n is an integer of >=2 and y is a number satisfying requirements for valence). This superconductor is obtd. as follows: starting material contg. Tl, Sr, Ca and Cu practically in 1:2 atomic ratio of Tl:Sr is prepd., fired in an oxygen-contg. atmosphere at 930-960 deg.C for 3-7min and then fired at 650-750 deg.C for 1-10hr. |
