<p>PURPOSE: To automatically adjust a position of a head by driving a magnetic tape so as to pass a scanner equipped with a converting head in a prescribed position in the longitudinal direction and providing the magnetic tape with slantwise tracks where video signal is recorded and longitudinal control tracks. CONSTITUTION: The tape 10 is passed through a guide 18 and wound arround a rotary drum 20, and is moved via a fixed magnetic head 16 to pass between a capstan 12 and a pinch roller 14. A movable magnetic head 24 is fitted to a rotary disk on the inner side of the drum 20 and connected to a disk 28 with a gap by a shaft 26. When the gap 32 and light of a light source 30 are correctly matched, a signal showing a relative position of the head 24 is generated from a sensor 34. Video information is recorded in the slantwise tracks 40 while a control track signal is recorded in the longitudinal tracks 42. The head 24 scans by coaxially rotating fixed guide drums 21 23 to adjust a phase between a pulse of the control track and a reference video pulse to a desired value, and a tracking position of the head is automatically adjusted.</p> |
