PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of working oil pressure control for a friction element by correcting the suction air amount to the engine with information about the engine output to an automatic transmission, and thereupon determining the working oil pressure for the friction element using the suction air amount to the engine. CONSTITUTION:A specified shift position is selected in an automatic transmission by operating oil-hydraulically a friction element selectively, and the engine power is transmitted to the wheels at this shift position to run a car, and also shifting into other positions is made by changing the friction element operated oil-hydraulically. The working oil pressure of this friction element is controllable, and a working oil pressure setting means determines the friction element by the use of suction air amount, and thereabout a correcting means corrects the mentioned suction air amount using corrective information about engine power to the automatic transmission. This corrects the change portion which might influence the input to the automatic transmission, and the friction element operating element is controlled still more strictly. |
