The cassette radio includes a radio tuner (4), a cassette section (5) and a stereo output stage (6,7) with the amplifier (18) and (19) output l.f. signals applied via two capacitors (8,9) to the two remotely controlled high impedance or two non-remotely controlled low impedance loads (1,2 or 24,25) connected via outputs (10,11). The capacitors (8,9) are bridged by an ohmic resistor (12,13) which, relative to the d.c. resistance of the low impedance load (24,25), is of high resistance. A line (14,15) is taken from the load terminals (10,11) to the l.f. inputs (16,17) of the remotely controlled active loud-speaker systems (1,2), with the d.c. switching signasl for the remote control (switches, 22,23) decoupled across the resistors (12,13).
