PURPOSE:To shorten picking-up time and component placing time by regulating a disposing interval of component placing heads by head moving means for moving the heads based on program data including component data representing the component to be placed. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 15 reads out a cassette No. of a component cassette for picking up a component by a first head 1 and a cassette No. of a component cassette for picking up a component by a second head 2 from a program data memory 18, and calculates a pitch A based on them. If the pitch A falls within a limit, a drive motor 5 of the head 1 is controlled based on the pitch A, and a disposing interval between the heads 1 and 2 is set. If the pitch A is out of the limit, the pitch is so controlled that the movement of the head is as small as possible. |
