APPARATUS FOR LOCKING OPENING/CLOSING BODY FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To prevent invalid operation to a guide pin accompanied by a theft by providing a protection wall for enclosing the guide pin in a structure in which a slide member interlocking with a key plate is advanced and retreated via the guide pin with turning motion of a control lever. CONSTITUTION:The removable roof 5 of a vehicle has a box 7 equipped with a locking device at a lower section on the side of a cab. A base plate 13 directing lengthwise is fixed approximately at the center of the box 7, while the base part 17 of a control lever 15 having a handle 21 is pivoted 19 to approximately the center of the base plate 13 wherein engaging rods 12, 14 which can be freely engaged with and disengaged from engaging holes on the side of a vehicle body are made to protrude and retreat via rods 27, 31 by turning motion of the control lever 15. This turning motion also makes sliding members 43, 47 interlocking with a key plate 81 advance and retreat via a guide pin 39 engaged with a guide groove 35 provided on the base part 17. In this case the sliding member 43 is equipped with a protection wall 53 for enclosing the head of the guide pin 39 so as to prevent the guide pin 39 from being pushed from outside.
