PURPOSE:To maintain the heat generating amount at a heat sensitive head to be a predetermined value thereby to reduce the density irregularity in printing by counting the number of data to be written in a line memory, and adding an adding strobe time set corresponding to the counting value to a reference strobe time. CONSTITUTION:A counter part 7 counts the number of data to be transferred and written into a line memory of a printer part 5 from a density-gradation signal converting part 4, with outputting a signal. A controlling part 9 generates a strobe signal every time each gradation data is completely written into the line memory of the printer part 5, and supplies a heating current based on the image data to a corresponding heat sensitive head. The outputting period of time of the strobe signal is equal to the sum of a reference strobe time read from a memory part 8 based on the detection of the gradation (64 gradations) of the gradation-density signal converting part 4 and an adding strobe time for a group of the heat sensitive heads based on the number of data counted from the data written into the line memory. When the controlling part 9 generates the thus-summed strobe signal in accordance with the counting data of the counter part 7, the printing image is corrected. |
